It would be a break from form for anyone on the series to enjoy a successful relationship. So the terrorist plot has to get in the way of the nuptials, right? Not necessarily: "I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure someone on this show is happy!" Goldberg told me. More in this week's TV Guide.

NCIS | Yes, TV’s most-watched drama has a super-intense, terrorism-themed finale coming up on May 15. But first, this coming Tuesday we must go through with a rite of passage for husband-to-be Jimmy Palmer. How is that going to work? “I have to say, it was a challenge,” series boss Gary Glasberg admits. But thanks to a sсript by Steve Binder, ” I think we came up with a really interesting way of combining the ticking clock of our terrorist storyline with Jimmy’s upcoming plans – as only NCIS can do.” Of course, Michael Weatherly did tease to me that Abby would be in charge of the stag party – or was the frequent kidder just funning with us? “Abby is absolutely involved, as in theory as Palmer’s best woman,” Glasberg confirms. “And she’s got all kinds of ideas up her sleeve. It definitely provides some lighter moments in the midst of a tense situation for everybody work-wise.”

‘NCIS’: FOUR BURNING QUESTIONS ANSWERED
The NCIS season finale promises to be an exciting one as Gibbs and the team continue tracking the man who has posed a direct threat to the U.S. Navy in the season’s final big arc. But before we get to that, I had executive producer Gary Glasberg answer a few burning questions. (And be sure to look for more from our chat on Tuesday!)

EW: I know that last season you had top-secret so-called red pages during filming of the finale. Are there any red pages this year?
GLASBERG: Sandra, there’s a scene that the crew wasn’t even allowed to see, so we actually distributed it on the set on the very last day of filming. Very few people were aware of what was going to happen, and I think it took a lot of people by surprise.

Scott Wolf is coming back in the finale. How is he tied into all of this?
He’s ultimately going to be needed because of information that he has. The beauty of Scott Wolf is that he’s personable and in using him as a villain this season, we’ve developed a character that had all kinds of dimension and nuance to it. He’s had a lot of fun with it. I think people are going to be really surprised by the way that he fits in into this final arc.

Q: I’ve LOVED Jamie Lee Curtis this season. Can we look forward to seeing more of her next season?
We’ll have to see. Things really climax in terms of Dr. Ryan in the final episode. She and Gibbs have some amazing scenes together. It fits into the whole arc that we’re leading up to for the end of the season. People will have to see where we go in the finale, and we’ll figure out what’s going to happen after that.

Q: Last quick-fire question, Pauley tweeted a picture of her stunt double. Why does Abby need a stunt double in the finale?
Ah, because there’s lots of excitement that’s going to happen in the finale. I highly, highly recommend that people not miss the last two minutes of the finale.

Про контракты

Дэвид МакКаллум подписал контракт еще на 2 года. То есть он обязательно вернется в 10 сезоне.
Договоры есть у всех, кроме Майкла Уэтерли, Шона Мюррея и Полли Перетт. В 2010 году их переговоры затянулись до лета, но как видно во второй статье ниже, повода для беспокойства нет.

David McCallum NCISEXCLUSIVE: NCIS co-star David McCallum has closed a new two-year deal with series producer CBS TV Studios to continue on the long-running CBS procedural. McCallum is one of four original cast members whose contracts are up at the end of this season, along with Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette and Sean Murray (who joined during the first season). During the quartet’s previous renegotiation two years ago, McCallum again was the first to reach a new agreement at the end of April. Talks with the other three stretched past the upfronts into June. There is indication of that happening again this year, with Weatherly, Perrette and Murray all in various stages of negotiations. On NCIS, which was recently renewed for a 10th season, McCallum plays medical examiner Donald “Ducky” Mallard. The rest of the cast, including star/executive producer Mark Harmon, have deals in place for next season.

Heading into May sweeps, CBS’ NCIS — aka TV’s most-watched drama — had four series regulars unsigned for Season 10. As of Tuesday, David McCallum had inked a new deal to stick around as Ducky. But what of Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette and Sean Murray?

While speaking with show runner Gary Glasberg about the procedural’s season finale airing May 15, the conversation of course turned to the in-flux status of those three fan favorites, who portray Tony, Abby and McGee.

Noting that CBS Television Studios handles the nitty-gritty of contract talks “while I and the writers handle the creative side of things,” Glasberg nonetheless expressed, “I have no doubt that it will all work out.”

Series front man Mark Harmon, along with Cote de Pablo, re-upped with the hit show a year ago, as their respective deals drew to a close. The last time Weatherly, Perrette and Murray were in play — spring of 2010 — the talks dragged into the summer, at which point they each inked two-year extensions.

“I’ve got the best cast in the world, and people are excited about Season 10 and what’s to come,” Glasberg added. “I couldn’t be happier to work with these actors.”

Michael Weatherly Predicts Baby Daughter's Job

Michael Weatherly recently welcomed his daughter, Olivia, into the world and the NCIS star is wasting no time trying to decipher what type of occupation his daughter will hold. ET caught up with the proud father on NCIS's set.

With his usual flare of humor, Weatherly tested out his daughter's name in a few announcer voices to gauge if he could imagine his daughter in a particular profession. After skipping over a couple potential ideas including a stripper, Weatherly concluded that his daughter may have a future in politics. "Up next with Fareed Zakaria, Secretary of Defense Olivia Weatherly," he imitated.

Weatherly also talked about his NCIS trip to Italy with co-star Cote de Pablo on which their characters are doing undercover work. With the end of Season 9 drawing near, the 43-year-old actor and his co-stars revealed that there will be plenty more explosions in the concluding episodes.

"It's about fire. It's about explosives. It's about terrorism," said Mark Harmon, who plays "Gibbs" on the show. "As always on this show, it's not what it seems. It starts out in one direction and then we find out that this threat is much closer."
