статьяMarch 5, 2012 03:14 PM PST NCIS Exclusive: The L Word's Karina Lombard Cast as Ziva's [Spoiler] Matt Webb Mitovich
Longtime NCIS viewers looking to learn more about how Ziva David (played by Coté de Pablo) became the woman she is today are in luck, because Karina Lombard has been cast as the badass beauty’s longtime friend and mentor, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Lombard’s character, named Monique Lisson, was first alluded to in this season’s premiere, when Ziva made mention of a female friend she had in Central America. And when I spoke to series boss Gary Glasberg in January, he shared his plan to “introduce Ziva’s [version of Mike] Franks — someone who’s going to sort of guide her a little bit in figuring out what she wants from life, professionally.”
What’s more, Monique, who will appear in an April episode, has a somewhat secretive past of her own.
Lombard’s TV credits include runs on The 4400, The L Word and Rescue Me, plus guest gigs on CSI and CSI: NY, while her big-screen resume features Legends of the Fall and Wide Sargasso Sea.

The March 27 episode of CBS' NCIS, titled "The Good Son," is centered around Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) and will provide a rare glimpse into the character's personal life — along with the addition of a new family member.
Joining returning members of Vance's kin will be hunky actor Jocko Sims as Vance's brother-in-law, Michael. According to my source, Michael is brought into the world of NCIS when he becomes the lead suspect in a murder case.
Jocko (cool name by the way!) was a series regular on the 2008-09 series, Crash.

Нет для МакЭббиQuestion: I thought it was interesting/exciting that NCIS‘ Gibbs thought Abby and McGee would be together in sideways-Gibbs world. Any chance they are teasing something to come? —Emily Ausiello: Good news — I got an answer for you directly from showrunner Gary Glasberg. Bad news — he stonewalled! “It’s impossible to say if the ‘what if’ moments were actually foreshadowing things to come,” he tells me. “We will just have to wait and see how things evolve over the next 200 episodes. It is fun to think about it, though. Isn’t it?” (Reading between the lines, I think the answer to your question Emily is no.)

NCIS | It’ll be a Freaky Tuesday next week when Mark Harmon reunites with Jamie Lee Curtis, who on Feb. 12 and then March 20 is guesting as Dr. Samantha Ryan of the PsyOps Division. Do we sense a possible spark? “Her character is sharp and funny and witty and determined,” series boss Gary Glasberg shares. “They’re going to have a lot of fun together.” Noting that Harmon and Curtis have known each other for years, and costarred in 2003′s Freaky Friday, Glasberg when I spoke to him was “excited about getting them on-screen together and seeing how that chemistry comes across.” The showrunner is quick to acknowledge, though, that since Gibbs has quite a history with redheads, “this is a departure from that — and yet I think people are going to find it engaging and fun.”
Будут ли серии где Эбби и Зива работают вместеQuestion: Does NCIS have any plans for an episode with Ziva and Abby working together on a case? Maybe going undercover? —Marla Ausiello: As of right this instant, no — but series boss Gary Glasberg is champing at the bit for when the right opportunity presents itself. “We talk about that, about bringing them together more often,” he said when we ran your question by him. “[Pauley Perrette and Cote de Pablo] love to work together, and if we can come up with a storyline that services that, I’d do it in a heartbeat!”
Майкл про Вэнди и малыша из БалтимораNCIS' Michael Weatherly on Meeting Tony's Ex ('There's a Face-Off!') and the 'Kid in Baltimore' Matt Webb Mitovich
The ex – as in Tony onetime fiancée, Wendy – marks the spot this Tuesday on NCIS (CBS, 8/7c), with Entourage‘s Perrey Reeves playing the very important woman from Agent DiNozzo’s past.
“It’s interesting — she jumped from [Jeremy] Piven to [me],” Michael Weatherly says of his new scene partner. “God knows what she thinks of that transition.”
Though previously referred to on the show as a music teacher, “Wendy, in a classic His Girl Friday set-up, is now an investigative journalist who is tied up in some investigation into some Navy ‘cat,’” Weatherly shared during a visit to TVLine’s Times Square offices.
Of course, getting this unexpected blast from the past rouses Tony’s suspicion somewhat, especially as far as her agenda is concerned. “Tony thinks that she’s just using the case” – about a Navy captain found dead with a “superhero” costume on beneath his clothes – “as a lever to get back into his world,” says Weatherly. “But then, because he’s always a little behind the 8-ball, he comes to understand that she’s actually using him to get information about the case.”
Along the way, Weatherly says that, yes, Ziva will size up Tony’s old flame, only to like what she sees. “There is a face-off, yeah, although they seem to like each other,” he reports. And off-screen, as well. “Perrey and Cote [de Pablo] immediately got on like a house on fire, hugging each other all the time…,” he says. “The crew loved that.”
про Шона ОстинаSEAN ASTIN DISHES ON ‘NCIS’ STINT Fans largely reacted well to the debut of Jamie Lee Curtis on NCIS this week, and her second outing will likely prove to be even better because the episode also marks the debut of Sean Astin’s character, a fellow PsychOps investigator who comes in to assist on a case.
When I spoke to him about the role, Astin, who could possibly guest in more than one episode, had nothing but praise for his character and fellow costar Curtis. But what popped out to me the most? The dish he gave me on the budding relationship between Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Curtis’ Dr. Ryan, and how it will effect their teams. “The fun thing is that Cote [de Pablo] and Michael Weatherly and me — as the corollary on Jamie’s side of the equation — are a little unsettled that their bosses might be having the start of a romantic something or other,” he says. “They’re usually so focused on what they’re doing and have a very sober approach to life. And now there’s something going on and we’re all a little uneasy. We’re like the uncomfortable kids whose parents might be dating.”
Sounds like we can look for at least a few good laughs in the ep, but also brace yourself for some action. “I got to see some action! There was some discussion about whether or not I got to carry a firearm. And I do!” Astin says.
Ziva’s got a quick hand. She’ll look around the room, she won’t tell you her plan. She’s got a special agent badge, hanging out her pocket, she’s a mossad kid. Yeah, and Tony found a lady friend. And rule number twelve is a prominent thing, and I don’t even know why. But Gibbs is coming for you, yeah, he’s coming for you.
[Chorus: x2]
All the other perps with their pumped up plans you better run, better run, out run my team. All the other perps with their pumped up plans you better run, better run, faster than my sniper.
Abby works a long day. She’ll be coming home late, yeah, she’s coming home late. And she’s bringing Tim a surprise. ‘Cause in the lab they got some evidence. They waited for a long time. Yeah, the grooves of the slug was from a quick-pull trigger, McGee reasons DiNozzo, And says, “Your hair’s on fire, you must have lost your wits, yeah.”
[Chorus:]
All the other perps with their pumped up plans you better run, better run, out run my team. All the other perps with their pumped up plans you better run, better run, faster than my sniper.
Season Nine: "Psych Out" Posted on Feb 22, 2012 05:54pm
How should we introduce a complex, interesting new woman into Gibbs’ life?
That was the challenge. Gary mentioned it to me months ago. читать дальшеHe knew he wanted to do an episode exploring the one area of the U.S. military that the public probably knows the least about: the Defense Department’s Psychological Operations, or PSYOPS unit. Writing always starts with research and Gary had already started the process. He also had a character in mind. Even more impressive, he already had an actress in mind – Jamie Lee Curtis. Jamie was to play the part of Dr. Samantha Ryan, head of the DOD’s PSYOPS Division. In reality, each branch of the service – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard – has its own independent PSYOPS unit. But, you know, dramatic license... J
And, so, we began navigating the murky, mysterious waters of the PSYOPS world.
An even better notion of Gary’s was to bring back a character from previous episodes –Dr. Rachel Cranston, played marvelously by Wendy Makkena. Having already made two memorable appearances on NCIS, Dr. Cranston returned to play some mind games against a fellow “head-gamer” (and old friend), Dr. Ryan. At first I thought having two female psychologists in the same episode might seem repetitious. Then I realized what Gary had done was create a “core of conflict” to drive the story. Personal stakes. Now we have two women competing over the memory of a dead man. Interesting. Even more interesting is the attractive Dr. Ryan also supplied us with a possible “relationship” for Gibbs…or not? Because with Jamie’s “head-gaming” Dr. Ryan character, you’re never entirely sure if anything she says or does is REALLY what it appears to be.
In reality, Mark and Jamie are good friends. To the delight of all, the NCIS set became less like “work” and more like a class reunion. Mark likes to make people laugh. And Jamie makes Mark laugh. She is a gifted actress and a consummate professional. To say we’re lucky to have her onboard is an understatement.
Wendy Makkena brought the character of Dr. Rachel Cranston to a much deeper level in this episode. It was fascinating to watch her process. This time, rather than being the “fixer,” Dr. Cranston was the one in need of help. And Gibbs supplied it.
As always, in these blogs we try to convey to you how special this cast and crew really is. The fact is, you won’t find a more talented, hard-working group of folks anywhere in TV land.
Oh, and a special shout-out to the rest of the writing staff for pitching in on this episode! A group effort from concept to airing.
